Data Engineer – Roles will include design and set out of complex cable plans for coms systems and wireless access points, including the lay out structures for equipment installations as well as expansions for existing data systems. The data engineer is responsible for installing cables, testing and terminating cables, installing trunking and conduits, patching panels, solving issues related to cables and networks, and finding errors.
Data cable puller/Electrical Mate – The data cable puller/electrical mate is responsible for assisting a Senior Data Engineer to design and set out of complex cable plans for COMMS, CCTV systems and wireless access points, including the lay out structures for equipment installations as well as expansions for existing data systems. Duties include installing cables, installing trunking and conduits, solving issues related to cables and networks.
Audio Visual Engineer – The AV Engineer is responsible for the safe and correct diagnosis of faults, removal, repair, test and operation of all aspects of audio visual, video conference, display and presentation technologies. Duties also include providing field based install, service and support to clients. You’ll work with a wide range of equipment, like projectors, LCD or plasma screens, image editing software and video and still cameras.
AV Technician – An AV Technician engages in initial discussion of the brief with a client or project leader and setting up equipment to meet their requirements. They then undergo the following responsibilities: Researching and recording images for displays, programming the equipment for a performance, operating equipment and controls, carrying out regular checks and maintenance on equipment, diagnosing any faults as they occur, writing training materials and technical reports, keeping records to track equipment as it is booked out and returned, and ordering new supplies as needed.
Fibre Splicer – Splicing and testing of optical fibres to the end customer premises.
Operating fibre splicer machines/kit. Duties include the installation of optical fibre cable, bundles and blown fibre tubing using fibre blowing equipment, complete works in line with time and quality standards, and the recording of results ensuring all are correctly documented.
Data cabler – Data Cabling Engineers are responsible for cable pulling and laying in a company. They are required to fix errors and rectifying them, and their responsibilities include installing cables, testing and terminating cables, patching panels, solving issues related to cables and networks, and finding errors. Data cablers may install fibre cables and networks according to company needs.
Mini 360 Plant Operator – Duties include working within the street, digging up channels within the road for ducting to be installed and run, operating a 360 digger (under ten tonne), and carrying out any tasks as requested by the supervisor on site.
EPOS Field engineer – Responsibilities include carrying out installations upgrades of EPOS equipment, installing EPOS software, installing and configuring WIFI terminals, complying with company and customer procedures for escalating issues on site, both technical and client related, completing all relevant administration and paperwork associated with the role, ensuring quality of installation and processes are maintained at all times and that stock records are accurate and up-to-date.
Civil Engineering Manager – Responsible for managing small works teams and sub-contractors at various locations, ensuring that all work is completed safely and within a timely and professional manner, hitting SLA/LTO or exceeding stringent service level agreements. You will also be expected to liaise with the relevant County Councils. Promoting and ensuring the team continually improve performance in Health & Safety Environment regulations is also key requirements of the role.
Telecoms engineer – Working for broadband or mobile phone operators, satellite installers, rail companies or public bodies like the emergency services, duties include setting up communications and data networks, installing aerials or satellites, laying and testing underground and underfloor cabling, finding and fixing faults, designing, and building and testing components and equipment.
