A survey by The Guardian has revealed that workers in those industries are the second happiest in the UK.
According to the survey, construction and engineering workers are happier because they are active, often work outdoors for most of the day and get lots of fresh air – all of which boosts positive endorphins.
These types of jobs are also highly skilled and provide a great deal of job satisfaction as being able to see a project through from start to finish is rewarding and motivational.
