The construction industry has continued to flourish throughout the first quarter of 2015, with output growth peaking at 60% in February.
New construction business volumes continued to rise throughout March, with the headline figure reaching 57.8%.
Construction firms reported a positive outcome for business activity in the next 12 months and the latest figures have been the highest since February 2006.
A recent study has also revealed that over 80,000 labourers are now back in work due to the boom in the construction industry with over 8,000 builders, 8,000 plumbers and 7,000 plasterers making their way back onto the career ladder.
David Lewis, Managing Director of Integra People, said: “At Integra we have seen a significant increase in the number of construction projects that our consultants are providing skilled labour for.
“This increase in projects clearly shows that the construction industry has recovered from the recession and we are confident that the industry will continue to thrive throughout 2015.”
The growth in the sector has contributed to Integra having its strongest start to the year with a 42% year on year growth in the first quarter of this year.
