Good news for the Industrial and Manufacturing industry as official figures have confirmed that the UK industrial output had grown at its fastest pace for six months in March due to a fall in oil prices.
On a year-on-year basis, total production output was estimated to have increased by 0.7% in March 2015 in comparison to March 2014.
There were increases in two of the four main industrial sectors, with manufacturing output also being up by 1.1%.
On a monthly basis, manufacturing output increased by 0.4% due to a boost in pharmaceutical products and preparations, rubber and plastics being produced.
Forecasts predict that growth in industrial and manufacturing sector will continue throughout the rest of 2015.
