Construction industry celebrates positive June

Construction output in Britain increased in June recovering from a slowdown in April and May.

Output increased in the second quarter of the year by 0.2 percent in comparison to the first quarter.

In June, construction output rose 0.9 per cent compared to May and the industry has seen a 2.6% increase in output in June 2015 compared to June 2014.

The Office of National Statistics (ONS) revealed that new work increased by one percent with private new housing, infrastructure and public work increasing by 3.9%, 0.5% and 1.2% respectively.
